Background & Credentials

Hi! I'm Genevieve and I'm a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, not to be confused with simply a "Nutritionist". Why the distinction? Put simply, every Dietitian is a Nutritionist, not every Nutritionist is a Dietitian. Dietitians must complete a minimum amount of schooling, pass a national exam, and maintain ongoing education throughout ones lifetime. There is no regulation around calling oneself a "Nutritionist", which can make it difficult to determine if one is qualified to provide nutrition advice.

I went through a total of six years of schooling, first attaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at Queens College, then completing a Dietetic Internship through Lehman College. I now hold a Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science from the University of Tampa and am a NASM certified personal trainer. This was all to better serve you! I am committed to evidence based nutrition practices and believe in a balanced approach to minimize stress and preoccupation around food throughout the process.

Why Women's Health & Hormones?

Through my nutrition counseling experience, I've seen a great majority of women struggle with stress around eating, a history of jumping from diet to diet, and a strained relationship with food and their body. Furthermore, through my own personal hormone struggles and PCOS diagnosis, I've experienced first-hand what that process can be like and the lack of support there can be.

These experiences are what drove me to focus my career on helping women who are looking for answers. I empower you to take control of your health. I take a functional nutrition approach to uncover the root causes of your symptoms, then guide you in discovering what nourishes your body, mind, and life based on your unique circumstances. Every woman is different. Every health journey is different. I'm here to guide you along the way.
