Savory Cheesy Oats

Sweeter flavors are what might typically come to mind with the thought of an oatmeal breakfast, but have you tried a savory take on oats?! If you haven’t, you should, because 🤤.



For the Oats: ▪️ 1/2 cup old fashioned oats ▪️ 1 cup milk of choice (I used cow’s, but any unflavored/unsweetened alternative will work) ▪️ 1 tsp butter ▪️ 1/4 cup shredded cheddar ▪️ salt & pepper to taste

Directions: ▪️ Combine oats, milk, and butter over medium-high heat and cook until milk is absorbed and oats are cooked through. ▪️ Stir in cheddar, salt and pepper. ▪️ Top with whatever you’d like! I did baby kale dressed with olive oil, 🥑, and a poached 🥚. Any leftover veggies you have will do the trick - the more the better!
